Scanpan Cookware is made in Denmark and has been around since 1956. Obviously, the company is doing something right. Its cookware is made with 100 percent recycled aluminum, which helps the environment. The patented ceramic titanium nonstick coating makes each pan 10 times harder than stainless-steel. Shaped with 250 tons of pressure, hot spots are eliminated so heat is evenly distributed.
A nonstick wok and lid set are ideal for stir-fries. You can cook eggs, bacon and other foods in a wok too. With an extra-thick bottom, heat is distributed evenly. A removable rack fits on top for draining foods. Use a splatter screen to prevent oils and natural juices from spewing out onto the stove or counter. Silicone and stainless-steel options are available and some screens absorb odors as well.
A Dutch oven is suitable for cooking stews or roasting chicken. It is dishwasher-safe and can go from the stovetop to the table for a perfectly hot dish. To protect the table, be sure to use one of the trivets from us at Williams-Sonoma. Cast-iron, wood and marble trivets are decorative while offering protection.
The nonstick square griddle is an ideal pan for pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches or cooking sausage patties. Use spatulas or turners to flip the food you are cooking on the griddle. Olivewood and walnut varieties of spatulas are beautifully designed and can be used as serving pieces in the kitchen or dining room table. Silicone spatulas come in bright colours or with patterns and fun designs on them. Regardless of which style you choose, they are quite handy with the griddle.
When you want to grill out and either the weather isn’t conducive, or you just don’t want to make the effort to grill, try the square grill pan. The ridges give grill marks to meats and vegetables that rival that of a gas or charcoal grill. The design also allows any fat to puddle in the bottom of the pan for a healthier meal. Season the food you are grilling with garlic and herbs for extra seasoning. Garlic presses and herb mills make using fresh ingredients easy. The seasonings from fresh ingredients are much more pungent and add plenty of flavour. To top it off, the grill pan can be put in the dishwasher for easy cleanup.

Because it’s built to last, you can use it as often as you like. To mix and blend foods you are cooking in the saucepan, use a whisk. A whisk thoroughly blends flour and water for gravy or ensuring orzo is evenly distributed in the pot for even cooking. Various sizes are available, and some come with wooden handles while others have stainless-steel handles.
